HSRC Deputy Director appointed

The National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia Health Services Research Centre (NIAA HSRC) was founded in 2011. Since then the work and the remit of the HSRC has grown considerably, including overseeing both the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit and the National Audit Projects.

To support the work of the Director, Professor Mike Grocott, a Deputy Director has been appointed. Following competitive interview in July 2014, we are delighted to announce that Dr Ramani Moonesinghe has been appointed to take up the role and will officially start in October 2014.

Ramani will continue her work as the Chair of the HSRC & RCoA Advisory Group on Quality Measures as well as working with the HSRC on the development of HES capability in anaesthesia and perioperative care and the development of a comprehensive outcomes database for anaesthesia and perioperative care.
