James Lind Alliance Survey: priorities for blood transfusion research

The James Lind Alliance wants to hear from patients, carers and health professionals with an interest in improving Blood Transfusion and Blood Donation services, and is inviting participants to take a short survey to help influence future research.

The survey will - for the first time - identify the most pressing unanswered questions about the therapeutic use of red blood cells, platelets and plasma in patients of any age and in any hospital department, across the whole clinical pathway from blood donation through to recovery from transfusion, as well as treatment strategies that provide alternatives to using blood.

Overseen by The James Lind Alliance, a non-profit making organisation funded by the National Institute for Health Research, the exercise will produce an unbiased result and all opinions will count.

The survey is available online here, will take about 10-15 minutes to complete and provides an opportunity to influence future research in this important area. For more information click the flyer below.
